I am inviting members of the community to drop off donations of non-perishables and toilet paper to be distributed to local emergency relief organisations during this COVID-19 crisis.
I’ve been really shocked by the customer buying patterns we’ve been seeing in supermarkets recently. Many people are sharing their concern about vulnerable members of our community who don’t have the means to buy in bulk or get to stores early enough to purchase their essentials.
That’s why my office is now collecting donations of non-perishables and toilet paper to distribute to local emergency relief organisations.
If you can spare items like canned goods, pasta, cereal, rice and toilet paper, please drop it off to my office 1013 Whitehorse Road, Box Hill during business hours.
We’ll then make sure it gets to people who are helping the people in our community doing it tough.
I have established drop-off policies to ensure the safety of community members making donations and my staff.
Any member of the community who is not able to drop donations off to my office should call 03 9890 7022 to make alternative arrangements.
At times like this, we need to be kind to each other. It’s the best way for us to get through this COVID-19 crisis together.
